Psalms 142- My Soul You Have Sought
Lord I cry out to You
Wandering in the dark
I’m lost alone and in a cave
Like an arrow who has missed their mark
But You Lord are steadfast
More constant than the rising sun
You carry the well of my sorrows
Your love is inferior to none
Yes, my soul faints
But God You do not
Thank for for carrying me
My soul You have sought
Psalms 141- May Our Prayers Be A Fragrant Offering
Lord I lift my prayers to You
Offering them with haste
May they be a fragrant presentation
Sweet to the taste
Guard my mouth Father
Protect the words of my lips
Do not incline my heart to evil
So I will not slip
Bless the righteous who sharpen
May they continually chide
For their words are like oil
From them may I never hide
God of refuge
Protect me from the traps
My eyes are ever towards You
In Your truth do I wrap
Psalms 140- For He Is A Shelter, Savior, & Friend
Evil men try to assail me
Plotting wicked things
Their tongues lash out like serpents
poison in their lips that stings
Guard me Lord from violent men
preserve my faint heart
See the downfall of these men
Bid them thence depart
God of the Most High
Give ear to my pitiful cries
You are the strength of my salvation
The Ruler of earth of sky
Let my enemies fall like rain!
See to them a quick end
My God surely helps the afflicted
For He is a shelter Savior and friend
Psalms 139- How Good And Wonderful Are Your Works!
God has searched me
He knows my frame
He knows my thoughts
And calls me by name
You made my inner being
My heart cries in joy
How good and wonderful are Your works!
I’m Yours to deploy
How precious are Your thoughts
O Lord of my heart
I’ll always be with You
Like You were at my start
Look within me God!
Find any wicked in me
Lead me in the way of the everlasting
That I may have eyes to see
Psalms 138- I Know Who Holds My Hand
Knees are bent
Head held low
I come to You Father
With nothing to show
To You I give thanks
Christ do we exalt
He is steadfast and faithful
And has no faults
Every king will bow down
To offer You their thanks
For great is our God!
He has the highest rank
Although He is mighty
He cares for the small
His compassion is that of a Father
Love abounding for all
But fear ye haughty man
For You know the Father not
Pain will follow your pride
And destruction will surely be wrought
Though my heart is heavy
I know who holds my hand
My Savior, Lord, Father, and Friend
Your steadfast love is where I’ll stand
Psalms 137- Remember Your People
When we were captured
Oh how we lamented our home!
How can we sing?
For we have nowhere to freely roam
Remember Israel
Do not forget our promised land
Guide us out of this misery
With Your righteous right hand
Remember Your people Lord
Destroy the enemies of old
Shake their inner foundations
So our children can be told
Psalms 136- For His Love Endures Forever
In all things
Give thanks to our King
For His Love endures forever
He is the reason we sing
He does great wonders
And made the earth
For His Love endures forever
He shows us our worth
Maker of the lights
Designer of the stars
For His Love endures forever
We are healed by His scars
Defender of Your people
With an outstretched arm
For His Love endures forever
Keeping us from harm
You remembered us
In our low place
For His Love endures forever
We long to see Your face
Psalms 135- How Wonderful Is The Bridegroom
When we wake up with the dawn
Christ is the first thing on our mind
When we lay our head down in the night
Christ is the what our hearts find
Give me more of You Jesus
I don’t want just a crumb
My heart wants all of You
To Your courts I will quickly come
There is a pleasantness with God
A sweet fragrance that fills the room
An aroma that sticks to us
How wonderful is the Bridegroom!
Great are You Lord
Greater than all things on earth
For You do as You please
In You we find great mirth
Mightier than the tallest tree
Longer than the largest sea
You are renown through the ages
Always caring for people like me
In all things we bless Your Name
Jesus You worthy of all honor and praise
Blessed be the Lord from Zion
To whom our hands are raised
Psalms 134- Today We Will Bless The Lord
Today we will bless the Lord
We’ll proclaim Your good deeds
For Your faithfulness extends to the heavens
In Your Word we heed
Today we will bless the Lord
And praise Him in the morning and night
For His glory is surely my good!
Following You is my greatest delight
Today we will bless the Lord
The Creator of heaven and earth
May He smile upon You
As we recognize His worth
Psalms 133- Precious Is A Friend In Christ
When brothers lock arms together
Bonded with God’s holy grace
Not even Hell can catch them
When they unify in life’s race
More constant than the morning dew
Better than the best wine
Precious is a friend in Christ
We praise You Christ divine!
Thank You Lord for Your provision
And Your consistent care
Just to know You Father
We are grateful to be called Your heirs
Psalms 132- Prepare Your Lamps, Keep Them Burning!
Why do we scurry to and fro?
Concerned about life’s affairs
But forget the dwelling place of God
And glaze over His covenantal care
Oh that my heart would make ready
A restful place my Savior Christ
May I not rest until it is secure
For You gave the ultimate price
So we run to You
Into Your arms of rest
For You give us fullness and peace
Jesus Christ be blessed!
Prepare your lamps, keep them burning!
For Jesus is on the move
We shout with loud proclamation
The great love that Jesus has proved
