Psalms 90- Teach Us To Number Our Days

The Lord is our dwelling place

A shelter of peace

Amidst the storms of life

With You our worries cease 

You are a mighty God

The one who formed the mountains of the earth

You return man to dust

Reminding us life is short after birth 

Teach us to number our days

That we may grow in knowledge of You

Satisfy us with Your love

That we may rejoice in all that’s true 

May we be glad in our days

Making the most of short breaths

God, stir urgency in our hearts!

Glorifying You until our deaths

Psalms 89- Have You Forgotten The Covenant?

In the trenches of life

It feels like I’m drowning 

Have You forgotten the covenant?

Are You in heaven frowning?

Our enemies rejoice in our shame

Short are the days of youth

How long will this last Lord?

Your servant wants the truth

Remember how short life is!

Share Your steadfast love again 

Listen to the mocking of Your people

Blessed be the God of Jacob Amen!

Beautiful is our covenant with God

Like a well aged wine

Walking with You is sweeter by the day

What a pleasure is God divine!

Because of this great love

We tell our children again and again

Praying that they accept Christ in their hearts

And share this great hope with all men!

No one in heaven or on earth compares to You!

How awesome and mighty is the Most High!

For you are the glory of our strength

Ruler of all the skies

Your Covenant lasts day and night

God’s lambs He is always tending 

Praise God for whom all blessings flow

Whose promises are never ending!

Psalms 88- From Darkness Til The Dawn

Lord of my salvation

And all that I hold dear 

Help me remember you

And to You daily draw near

Let me voice my troubles

Sound the alarm

Pray to you in earnest

Keep me from harm

Why do You feel so far away God?

Will my grief never end?

Will You answer my prayers?

I thought You were a friend? 

In the still of the night

My worries run on and on

Yet I’ll still pray to You God

From darkness til the dawn

Psalms 87- God Loves His Church Deeply

When God made the church

It was established firmly on the Rock

The foundation is rooted in Christ 

Who carries His flock 

God loves His church deeply

In His sanctuary He dwells

We praise Him in His presence 

His love is an everlasting well

May our hearts be glad in worship 

Praising our Lord and King

May we not be ashamed of the Church

Proudly would we stand and sing

Psalms 86- In God My Heart Is Fervent

I may be poor and needy in this life 

But I have nothing else but You

Be gracious to me Father

For my face is blue

Gladden my heart Lord

Guide my ever sinking ship

For Your steadfast love is never ending 

So I’ll praise You with my lips

Like a child who earnestly prays to God

So my heart cries out to You

For there is none like You Lord

You protect even the smallest of ewes

Teach us Your ways God

For we are Your sheep

Help us walk in Your truth

You delivered our souls from the deep

Be gracious to us Lord

Give strength to Your servant!

You are ever merciful and gracious

In God my heart is fervent

Psalms 85- May Your Glory Dwell In The Land

When God looked at the land

He saw that it was good

For Christ restored our fortunes 

Forgiving us only as He could

Renew us again Father

Forget Your heavenly wrath!

Show us Your steadfast love 

Guide us on Your path

My eyes and ears are open

Waiting to hear You speak

For You to give peace to Your saints 

Even when things seem bleak 

Surely salvation is near!

To those who fear You

May Your glory dwell in the land 

Steadfast as the morning dew

Psalms 84- Your Dwelling Place

My heart and soul have nothing 

But when I come to Your dwelling place

And suddenly, I am something

When I rest in You

Even the birds come before You

Young animals take comfort in Your sight

Just to be with You is a sweet song

Sitting with You is a delight!

As we go through dark valleys in life

Our strength lies in You 

Hear our prayers God

Remind us what is true!

Oh I long for just a day with You Lord!

That is all my heart needs

For there is nothing better in all of the world

Than my soul dwelling with You to feed

Psalms For Psalms- Day 83

Psalms 83- Lord Do Not Hold Your Peace

Lord, consider the enemies of the land

Do not hold Your peace 

Attack those that consider against Your people 

So our strife against evil would cease 

Your Word says that man is like grass

Make the wicked nothing but dust

Turn their bows away from us 

May their swords turn to rust 

Would Your power be on display

That all may fear Your name

And see You are the Most High 

In You we have no shame 

Psalms For Psalms- Day 82

Psalms 82- His Gavel Is Sure

God sits in the divine council

He is our heavenly judge

Will He judge unfairly forever?

Will he continually hold his grudge?

Rescue those without a Father

The weak who need Your loving care

Deliver them from the wicked

This is our daily prayer 

Because it is I that needed rescue

It is I that walked in shame

Participating in evil deeds

Until I trusted Your name

When we trust the Judge 

We know His gavel is sure

We have faith in our hearts

That His ways are pure

Help us walk with You God!

For You have already beaten death

I give You praise with all of my lungs 

From life until my final breath

Psalms 81- Honey To My Soul 

Let our voices raise

All together for the King

God is our strength and song

To Him we’ll ever sing!

In the quiet place

On a mountain high 

God You meet me

Your love extends through the skies

If we had just listed to God

And not followed our way

We would not have this heartache

Help me listen to what You say

For You satisfy my every need

The sweetest honey to my soul

Like fresh water from the rock

In You my cup is full
