Psalms 130- Like A Mighty River

In the great depths

A feeble voice cries out

My broken spirit comes to You

With a final shout 

Be attentive to my pleas!

God, hear my faint cries

Oh My Savior and Lord 

You who are sovereign and wise

How sweet is it

That You care for the lost 

You hold the prodigal close

No matter the grave cost

So in Christ I place my hope

Who is surer than than the rising sun!

Steadier than the mountains above

I’ll wait for You, Almighty One

Like a mighty river

Hope comes flowing in 

Trust in the Father

Who Is and Was, and has always Been

Psalms 129- The Lord Is Our Refuge 

Evil may oppress me 

But the darkness will never win

For my Lord is Holy and righteous

He has defeated the grips of sin

May all those who hate Zion

Turn their face

Let them be like the grass

And be forgotten from this place

The Lord is our refuge

He will keep us from harm

Watching over our lives

We are safe in His arms

Psalms 128- The Goodness of the Lord our God

For all that fear the Lord

How joyful are your ways 

It is a pleasure to follow Jesus

Following You all of our days 

Walking with Jesus

Puts breath in our lungs

Enjoying the fruit of our work 

We praise You with our tongues 

Thank You God for my wonderful wife

She is a joy to all who come near

Delivering peace to our house 

Every day of the year 

Thank you God for my wonderful kids

It is a blessing to see them praise You

May they always walk in Your ways

And seek what is right and true

Blessed men never take for granted

The goodness of the Lord our God

Help us fear You in every moment

With You our hearts are awed

Psalms 127- Lord Watch Over Our City 

When the house is built by man

It will surely fall

Foundations raised by Christ

Stand secure and tall

Lord watch over our city 

Cover it with your eyes

We cannot walk alone

No matter how hard we try 

Children are a blessing from God

A heavenly gift from above

Do we treasure them as such?

Father help us cherish the little ones we love

Psalms 126- There Is Hope For Tomorrow

How sweet are the melodic harps

After a long pause for sorrow

We sing praises to You God

For there is hope for tomorrow

God has done great things

Surely He loves His child

For He saves him out of the wrath

Takes him out of the wild

For we left our home weeping

But came back with joy

You’ve restored our fortunes 

Ending evil’s ploy

Psalms 125- God Surrounds His Child

Consider the great mountains of our world

El Capitan, Everest, Rainer; they cannot be shaken

When we trust in the Lord most high

Our faith will never be taken 

As the mountains surround us

So God surrounds His child

Guiding us day by day

Leading us through the wild

Lord help us walk today 

Turning to what is right

Keep our hearts from evil

Putting You on our sights

Psalms 124- Our Help Comes From The Lord

We are a ship tossed about by the ocean

A leaf blown around by the wind

Swallowed up by our enemies 

Hope has found its end 

But then God showed up

A candle in the dark

Gave us hope for tomorrow 

He is our mighty and wonderful spark

For our help comes the Lord

The Maker of heaven and earth

With Him we shall not be afraid

In Him we find all of our worth

Psalms 123- May Our Eyes Rest On Thee

To where do my eyes go?

Do they drift like a boat in high seas?

Or wander like a lost traveler?

Lord, may our eyes rest on thee 

I am but just a servant 

In the presence of the King

Teach me Your wisdom Lord

So that I can confidently sing

Have mercy on us Father

The enemy attacks us all day

I stand at Your door and knock 

Holding fast to all You do and say

Going to the house of the Lord

Gives my soul great gladness

When I'm with You

There is no sadness

 

When the congregation gathers to praise God

It is a pleasing sight to Him

We don't just sing with our lips

Or shout on a whim

 

May our songs be heartfelt

A full embodided offering

Giving true glory to God

While our souls are softening

 

Pray for your city

For peace among our place

For You are faithful Father

Help us seek Your face

Psalms 121- Tending To Our Hearts 

When my eyes are strained

And my legs quickly tire

I lift my eyes to the hills

You are my one desire

While we were asleep

God was awake

Tending to our hearts

For our souls sake 

Keep us from evil 

Watch me in all my ways 

Thank You for ever caring 

Vigilant and steadfast Yahweh

Psalms 120- False Tongues Will Never Foil Faith

The deceitful claim goodness  

They claim a life of ease

But You deliver me Lord

For their promises will never appease 

Christ himself was attacked by deceit 

Kissed by on the lips by liars 

So do we fervently come to You Father

You alone can pull us out of this mire 

False tongues will never foil faith

Your sharp arrows make sure of that

Protect us from the deceitful Father

Would the wicked fall ever so flat

Blessed are those who walk in his ways

Those who God’s Word never does part 

Diligence is what You ask

What a great prayer

God, in all our ways may we be excellent 

Not forsaking Your tender care 

The best thing a young man can seek

Is to live a life that is pure

When he seek God’s commandments

All of his ways are sure 

Delight in His Word

Listen as God teaches you his ways

Blessed is our Lord and Savior
