“Be not afraid when a man becomes rich
When the glory of his house increases
For when he dies he will carry nothing away
His glory will not go down after him
For though, while he lives
He counts himself blessed
And though you get praise when you do well for yourself
His soul will go to the generation of his fathers
Who will never again see light”
God, I am so quick to fall to the riches and things of this world, but none of these things last.
Fill my heart with You and nothing else. Be a spring in my heart that never runs my soul dry. Help me taste but a sampling of Your goodness that I forget about the things of the world.
How I look at silly things like baseball cards. But God wants me fully.
Today is the best day to seek God with our whole heart. Bow before Him. Worship the throne. Leave behind the things of the world and chase Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith
Psalms 49- For All I Have is Thine
Men try to conquer the world
Though they succeed for a time
It soon fades like the grass
And they won’t keep a dime
Even wise men perish
Fools succumb to health
Rich men fall fast too
Leaving behind their wealth
Nothing remains when we die
After everything we earnestly sought
All we toiled to gain
Our glory will fade to nought
Christ is our only answer
His Grace is forever mine
I give to You my heart and soul
For all I have is Thine
