Psalm 6- Soul Pain
Like a child with their father
So I go to You with complaints
Be gracious and remember me Lord
Nothing to you is a constraint
Everything in me hurts oh God
Troubles surround my weary soul
You blanket me in Your love
Despite pain that leaves a hole
Flee you workers of evil
Return to the dust you became
My God hears my prayers today
His justice is an eternal flame
Happy birthday to my sweet wife!
What a blessing she is to our family, community, and everyone around her. I love her dearly.
I wrote a note to her this morning and reminded her of the sweet truths that come from Proverbs that remind me of her:
"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue" -Proverbs 31:26

Psalms 4- Answer
God answers when we call
Even in the depths of despair
Righteous God You are gracious
No sinner is beyond repair
We are set apart in Christ
Steadfast love marks our King
Be silent, ponder your heart
Trust in Him over everything
Your face shines upon us
Bringing us joy abound
God is the giver of peace
In Him satisfaction abounds
Psalms 3- Protector
No Matter how many foes
My God stands with me
They claim he cannot save
But Grace is all I see
God is a shield and protector
Hiding me from the dark
I sleep the night soundly
Christ's protection leaves it's mark
Save me today gracious God!
Every hour I need you
Salvation belongs in your hand
Your love is like the morning dew
Psalm 2- God's Son
Be warned, You kings of the earth!
The living God is coming your way
Gather and plot together all you want
Yahweh's wrath is here to stay
Who am I, but a lowly shepherd?
To stand in the presence of the King
In You alone I take great refuge
With great gratitude and joy I sing
You are my son God says to me
That I know is true
Every day I'll serve the Lord
Until my dying breath is through
Friends,
I write with expectancy... to see how the Lord will work in my heart and others over the next 150 days.
I am working on a project to write a "Psalm for Psalms" every single day.
May God's Word dwell richly in our hearts as we follow Him! (Colossians 3:16)
Psalm 1- Delight
The finest taste to the tongue
The sweetest song ever heard
The warmest embrace in your arms
Nothing compares to Your Word
When the days are brand new
Your law is on my mind
When I lay down my head
Your Word is all I find
Plant me by Your stream
That my roots grow strong
You are my true delight
You are my forever song
Would You give my friends vigor? Help us run the race of endurance well, fixing our eyes on the Savior.
You God! IT'S YOU.
Would we strain, press on, and give today everything we have.
Help us run on empty today. Let every bone in our body groan and ache as we take captive of every thought and action.
Let us run in a manner that is worthy and pleasing to You, drawing on You for strength in every step.
Fasten Your Word on our hearts and flavor every thought with You. We cry out to you Lord, with every breath.
Hear us, O God! That good good Grace surely wouldn't save sinners like us? But surely You do, despite our best efforts to run away from You.
You turn our course, You turn our hearts. So we run to you.
The great race today begins. But we have something deep within ourselves. The fire and vigor of God himself rages through us.
And when we run with God guiding and powering every step, the gates of Hell shutter in our wake.
Victory in Christ! The grave has been defeated!
God, Help us run, knowing that the victory has already been won.
May we run with vigor, today, tomorrow, and forever.
We love you Lord.
