A liturgy for sadness
Only What Christ Has Done
When the seas are roaring
When the world brings trouble
Our Lord picks us up
Among the rubble
The crying child
The forlorn wife
When will this end
All of this strife
Yet Christ has surely come
As a beacon of shining light
His death on the cross
Proved His humble might
When you are lost pilgrim
Christ finds your way
No matter the trials
No matter the day
Remember this troubled one
The present will become the past
Only what Christ has done
Is the only thing that lasts
Rise up sad one!
Take heart in the Lord today
Run in the sunshine
For God has the final say!
